En una vivienda, edificio, cl\u00ednica, hotel o instalaci\u00f3n industrial, los artefactos sanitarios no operan todos al mismo tiempo. Por eso se aplican criterios de simultaneidad para estimar un caudal probable, representativo y seguro. Su superficie interna lisa ayuda a conservar un comportamiento hidr\u00e1ulico estable, reduciendo el riesgo de aumentos de rugosidad con el tiempo. Esta caracter\u00edstica es especialmente relevante en redes de agua caliente, edificios, hospitales, instalaciones comerciales y sistemas donde la continuidad operacional es prioritaria.<\/p><h3>Tabla comparativa orientativa<\/h3><p>Comparativamente, materiales como PP-RCT y PPR ofrecen baja rugosidad interna y alta resistencia a la corrosi\u00f3n.
